Cayman Paces Porsche Qualifying At
Daytona During North American Debut

(Ormond Beach, FL, USA – January 28, 2010) A new page in Porsche showroom-stock racing history was written this past weekend during the opening round of the 2010 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series at Daytona International Speedway when Steve Jenkins of Glenview, Illinois qualified his #38 BGB Motorsports Cayman S in 13th place ahead of all other Porsche entries, with a lap time of 2:01.96 and an average speed of 105.1mph.
Debuting the team’s sister car, Keith Carroll of Stuart, Florida, in his first full season of competition qualified his #23 Porsche Cayman S a few rows back in 22nd position, with a lap time of 2:03.28 and an average speed of 104.0 mph.
BGB Motorsports’ third entry for this past weekend’s 2.5 hour Fresh From Florida 200 race was piloted by Stewart Tetreault of Canton, CT; Tetreault qualified his #83 BGB Motorsports 911 Carrera in 31st among 36 competitors with a lap time of 2:04.782 and average speed 102.7 mph.
