BGB Motorsports Join Forces
With PerformanceDrink

For Immediate Release

(DAYTONA BEACH, FL - July 11, 2007)The Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series’ popularity continues to burgeon, both on the spectator front, and also with the competitors themselves. This season there are more teams and drivers than ever and the difference between finishing first or tenth has closed dramatically. In order to maintain their competitive edge over the competition, BGB Motorsports today announced they are partnering with PerformanceDrink.

BGB Motorsports ended the 2006 season with victory in the six-hour marathon at VIR, securing Porsche the manufacturers’ title in the process. The win also garnered the team the 2006 PerformanceDrink Endurance Challenge Award, which cemented the relationship between the two companies, which had started when the drivers began using PerformanceDrink at the start of that season.

This season BGB’s #83 Porsche 997 of Tim Traver/Mikel Miller and it’s #38 Porsche 997 of Craig Stanton/Hugh Plumb will compete with full PerformanceDrink backing in the KONI series, whilst the BGB Motorsport trailer will act as a hub where all competitors – Rolex and KONI – already using or wishing to try PerformanceDrink can obtain product at all events. Additionally the BGB trailer will supply all the decals and signage that grants drivers eligibility to the 2007 PerformanceDrink Endurance Challenge.

“PerformanceDrink has an established presence in all levels of motorsport – from karting all the way up to the Champ Car Series,” said BGB Motorsports Team Manager John Tecce. “That they have chosen us to represent them in our series is great. Thanks to the relationship between us that began with the 2006 Endurance Challenge Award we’re already aligned and we’re hitting the ground running.”

Paul Booth, founder and CEO of Performance was equally as enthusiastic. “We are happy to say that currently four of the top five Rolex DP drivers in the points use PerformanceDrink. We want to be there for the drivers wanting to progress to the Rolex series, and that means the KONI challenge. With the 400 kilometer format the KONI series uses this year, a driver needs to be as sharp for a race that’s as long as most Rolex races. That is where PerformanceDrink comes in: Focus, Endure, Win!”
