TWO TOP TEN FINISHES FOR
BGB MOTORSPORTS IN GRAND-AM CUP

Plummer/Cosmo 7th,
Brumbaugh/McDowell 8th
at Mont-Tremblant

For Immediate Release

BGB Motorsports remains in contention for the 2004 Grand Sports class championship with two strong finishes in round 4 of the Grand-Am Cup series, the Mont-Tremblant 250 on Saturday, May 22nd.  Mark Plummer and Guy Cosmo drove the #38 BGB Motorsports Porsche 996 to finish 7th, while the team's #83 Porsche entry piloted by Andy Brumbaugh and Michael McDowell finished 8th.

"We had a set-back in qualifying and unfortunately had to start both of our cars in the back of the field for the race," said team manager Duane Neyer.  "All four of our young drivers did an outstanding job working together through traffic and under fuel consumption strategies to pull out a great finish for both cars, considering we started last."

20-year old Mark Plummer started the #38 car, while 19-year old Andy Brumbaugh started the #83 car.  The team pitted out of sequence with the leaders early on, and both drivers moved quickly through the field, nose-to-tail to hand off the cars to Cosmo and McDowell in the top ten.  Cosmo and McDowell again ran nose-to-tail for the duration of their stint, with Cosmo posting the team's fastest race lap on lap 82.

"BGB is making great progress as a team, and all we needed to do was run consistently," said Cosmo.  "We pitted out of sequence early on given our starting position and ran hard all the way through.  Mark did an amazing job getting the car as far up the field as he did, and we're proud to pull out a 7th place finish from what we were up against."

"The car and the team were awesome and I think the whole weekend went exceptionally well," said McDowell post race.  "For a first weekend with Andy (Brumbaugh) and myself being new, the team really impressed the both of us."

The Mont-Tremblant 250 airs Sunday, May 30th at 12:00 PM EST on the Speed Channel.
